Melissah Louise is obsessed with creating unique, impeccably made footwear, and believes that taking the conventional route is boring.

Born and raised in California, Melissah studied Architecture at Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles before transferring her skills to the fashion industry.  After taking on design direction for label licenses Dickies Moto Women, Andretti Eyewear, and Atleus Denim, she decided to follow her life long goal of starting her own Los Angeles made label in her favorite medium to date, footwear.

Her biggest influences vary from Drummers Ginger Baker and John Bonham, to Architects Adolf Loos and Philip Johnson.  If you haven’t heard from her she’s most likely down the street with her phone off watching all girl mariachi and tequila tasting with her husband.

Every single pair of LOUISE-BRIDGE shoes are proudly hand crafted in Los Angeles by Artisans that specialize in each of their categories of shoe making. Each step of production is done by hand and because of this no two pairs of shoes will ever be exactly alike. Every material used is sourced thoughtfully and carefully from the structural components for durability, the specific quality of leathers for sustainability, and the hardware for character. Every pair of L-B shoes are made to order with the utmost care promoting slow fashion, and avoiding production that goes to waste.

LOUISE-BRIDGE is an idea to simply make fun (and responsible) attention grabbing shoes that can match the spontaneous lifestyle of those who choose to wear them.
